Welcome to The Warrior Journal.

wHO i AM:
- u.s. mARINE cAPTAIN
- combat veteran
- BUSINESS OWNER
- COLLEGE PROFESSOR
- AUTHOR

After spending 5 years of my life in the Marine Corps, including multiple tours of duty overseas, leading some of the finest men and women I’ve ever met, and elite level training at some of the highest levels of the DOD, I now want to share what I have learned with you.

vision

A COMMUNITY OF SERVICE-ORIENTED PROFESSIONALS

To create a community of driven individuals with the common purpose of making themselves into Warriors. Whether you are active-duty military, a veteran, or have never seen military service, if you have a mindset of courageous service and a search for personal development, you belong here.

mission

TO FORGE WARRIORS

I want to help you become a more robust warrior in all aspects of your life: in the gym, at the workplace, and at home with family. To do this, we will build competence in all areas of personal strength:

PHYSICAL   EMOTIONAL   SPIRITUAL   MENTAL

Physical:
Personal Fitness

I started lifting weights at the age of 15 and fitness quickly became a passion
that has shaped my life for the better.

Whether it was training for the Marines or working through the difficult parts of life, a solid grounding in personal fitness is an unqualified advantage for the warrior lifestyle.

I am now currently training for my first bodybuilding show next year, and I invite you to join me on this journey!

emotional & spiritual:
the warrior spirit

This blog will explore the development of the Warrior Spirit. What is the Warrior Spirit? Where does it come from? Where did it go in our modern world? and how can we channel it in order to become better versions of ourselves?

If you have ever wondered how to embrace life to the fullest and face down the obstacles and challenges in your life, then this community is definitely for you!

mental:
Creative Expression

We all need a creative outlet, a means to express ourselves and communicate our thoughts and emotions.

For me, that outlet is writing. My first book, Recapturing the Warrior
Spirit, is due out December, 2023.

If you have ever wanted to write better, be more creative, and overcome the blocks in your creative process, then I am here to help you achieve the next level of growth and reach your fullest potential.

“I have come to understand that the pursuit of personal strength and honest power represents a self-evident and unqualified good—for both the individual and for society. Strong people make for strong communities; and strong communities make for a strong society. While not everyone can storm a beach, fly a fighter jet, or brave artillery fire, I firmly believe that every single person possesses the courage and capability to be a warrior in their family, community, and society.”

A special note to recently SEPARATED veterans:

I remember how hard it was for me to transition from military service to civilian life. It took years for me to figure out how to embrace the warrior spirit outside of the warrior vocation. I hope you can learn from my successes and failures and shortcut your own learning cycle.

More About Me

My military accomplishments include managing an Intelligence unit in Afghanistan and leading a Scout Sniper platoon overseas.

I graduated some of the most challenging military schools in the DOD.

I love complex ideas and philosophy

I am also a chronic fitness enthusiast and bodybuilder. I am currently training for my first bodybuilding show in June of next year.

Lastly, I am an aspiring first-time author. My first book, Recapturing the Warrior Spirit, is due out in 2023. For all other aspiring authors out there, I invite you to join with me as I share what I have learned over the last 2.5 years of writing: the ups, the downs, the mistakes, and the successes.
